When I began my veterinary career, I had no idea where it would take me. I simply wanted to impact animals for the better and envisioned — and then created — an animal hospital in my home town. But over the years, it has grown well beyond the geographic limits of Long Island. I wrote a book, which you can get here for FREE as an Amazon Prime member, and am now consistently being contacted by national media outlets and magazines to answer questions about pet health. I absolutely love working one-on-one, eye-to-eye with what I believe to be the best, most committed pet parents on Long Island. There’s nothing like it. But, it also feels amazing to be able to impact the health of pets all over the world through the internet.
I’m including a few of the most popular articles — covering topics that pet parents are asking about– which I’ve had the privilege of contributing to, below. Perhaps you’ve been wondering about some of these things too:
This article discusses what you need to know about giving your dog BENADRYL. (It was read by over 20K people.) You can read it here: https://iheartdogs.com/5-things-dog-owners-should-know-about-giving-benadryl-to-dogs/
Another I HEART DOGS story is all about Grain Free diets, which you can read here.
One story or topic that you probably NEVER thought to ask about is whether or not your dog LOVES hugs… This one went viral, being discussed on all major news outlets including Fox & Friends and you can read it here in Country Living Magazine.
This post was published on Chewy.com, discussing summer hazards for your cat. It was really well received, and has been very popular. As an aside, my stand to leave “retail” pursuits to retailers and focus only on practicing medicine leaves room for me to be an ongoing expert source for Chewy.com.
Another popular article was one for Animal Wellness magazine, discussing NON-TOXIC Pest Control options, which I was excited to weigh in on.
I hope you enjoy these articles as much as I enjoyed contributing to them. Of course, if YOU have a question, post it in our Facebook group and I’ll create an article for our blog — or pop in with a LIVE video — to answer it!
