Radiology
X-rays are essential for diagnosing certain medical and surgical problems. Routinely performed, most often with your pet awake, we are able to develop clear, high quality, digital pictures with our new state of the art digital radiograph machine.
Ultrasound
Another important non-invasive diagnostic tool, an ultrasound is often more exact than an x-ray. Used primarily for abdominal and cardiac problems, our hospital is equipped with the latest ultrasound technology to help diagnose disease and other health problems quickly and efficiently.
Endoscopy
Using a variety of miniscule cameras attached to either a flexible or rigid tube; our in-house endoscopy equipment gives us the ability to look directly inside your pet's body. Directly viewing the interior of an organ or body cavity is often very helpful in determining the cause of a problem and helpful in establishing a diagnosis. Colonoscopy and rhinoscopy are only two of the many procedures available with our endoscopic equipment.
Laboratory
Advanced Animal Care Center is equipped with a full line of laboratory testing devices that allow us to measure dozens of laboratory values. By having this capability, we can perform a variety of laboratory procedures such as complete blood counts, pre-anesthetic blood screens, urine analysis, fecal exams and cytopathology. Our in-house diagnostic capabilities allow us to get results within minutes, decreasing the time interval between examination and treatment. This is particularly important in emergency situations and very useful for pre-surgical blood testing.
